Three Sisters Gallery - Previous Exhibitions |
Three artists from the one stable are siblings Ailbhe, Ester & Louise Barrett who are painting from their home studios in Co. Limerick. Though they exhibit as a group in venues around Ireland & in England, each artist actively pursues her own career by travelling out to locations that hold inspiration – such as the west of Ireland, Scotland & northern Italy for Ailbhe, the racetrack & homes of famous horses for Ester & the hunting field for hunting enthusiast Louise. Something the three vehemently agree on is that, growing up without the restraints of a formal education, they were able to immerse themselves in the world of play & imagination, something that, as youngsters, gave them the courage to put on canvas whatever pleased them without being over-concerned about the results. High on their agenda was seizing the opportunity to view the works of artist they each held dear, masters like WMJ Turner, C. Monet, AJ Munnings, & Albert Bierstadt & Charles Russell.
